The Whodunwot Players [aka Kippax Dramatic Society] returned by popular demand to entertain and put our detective skills to the test with their latest mystery, Murder at the Village Hall. The St Wilfrid detectives were out in numbers as almost sixty sleuthing Brethren, wives and friends gathered at Niddleston Village Hall [aka Castle Grove Masonic Hall] to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. As we all enjoyed a delicious three course meal, events took a tragic turn with a very suspicious death!
Clues and red herrings abounded as the teams of detectives tried to solve the baffling crime. Should witnessing a murder be an enjoyable experience? Thanks to an enthralling script and excellent acting this dramatisation managed to entertain, confuse, amuse and challenge our investigative and observational skills.. ‘That was tremendous fun’ & ‘Can we do this again?’ was the verdict. A great success and a really enjoyable evening in excellent company!!
